Appearance: Clear deep golden color with a nice white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Caramel malty, mild citric hoppy and mild fruity.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweet and an ok bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: SOAPY. Caramel malty, mild hoppy and mild fruity.
Overall impression: Must have been something wrong with this one. Even the staff admitted it. A bit sad, because I think this would have been a really nice lager.
Personal stats: On tap at Barrowboy & Banker (Fuller’s) at London Bridge in London, England.

Draft at the Duke of Hamilton in Hampstead, London on 1 July 2013. Pours a light, clear golden colour with a white head. Light aroma of some cereal and bread. Flavours are not very strong; almost no detectable hop flavours and some fairly standard grainy malt elements. Nothing horrible, but I’d call it bland, rather than subtle.

Keg at the Wandsworth Common London Beer Festival July 2013 - Le Gothique. Pours clear yellow with a tight, white foam head. Dry dough nose, some dry lemon rind, too. Light to medium sweet flavor with straight dry dough, lemon rind, straw. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Clean finish, more dry straw bitterness, dry dough. Good.
