Bottle from Kisjes Slijterijen, Meppel. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, raisins, mild roast, touch of dark fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and above moderate bitter with a bittersweet finish. Body is medium. Surprisingly decent Bock, not as sweet and fairly bitter for the style.
Earlier Rating: 11/14/2015 Total Score: 3.4
Bottle at home. Aroma of malt, caramel, raisins, hint of roast, some fruity notes. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a nice moderate bitter finish. Body is medium. Brewed with Centennial, which accounts for the fresh bitterness. Not being a fan of overly sweet Bocks, I enjoyed this one.
Earlier Rating: 9/28/2014 Total Score: 3.2
Aroma of malt, bread, caramel, raisins, some dark fruits. Flavour is malty, sweet caramel, but not that sweet for a Dunkler Bock. Instead, it’s got a nice bitter finish.

Decent beer, it has the great german qualities, but it very much lacks the cleanliness of the classic style. Wildeman ams

Tap @In de Wildeman, Amsterdam. Clear dark brown colour, good frothy beige head, heavy lacing. Aroma roasted malts, dark fruits, caramel. Rather flat taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, light caramel. Medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, disappointing bock lacks body.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ W. van Schaik, Vianen. Clear light brown with an off-white head. Malty caramel aroma with some red fruits. Taste is lowly bitter. Quite thin body. Not bad at all but it’s gone from memory the moment it’s swallowed.
