Brown ale, with a sweet caramel aroma, with a sticky thick clinging mouth feel, and a sweet malt flavour

Cask handpull at White Horse, Parson’s Green. Very deep red with thin beige head. Lovely malt fruit flavour. Bit of harsh nettle. Nice, but could be better, lacks intensity and a bit too nettley for me.

Cask Deep amber-red; B.C."H.". Pencil or watercolourpaint aroma, some children’s sweet and state-of-the-art new materials for basketshoe soles... anything but natural. Again a horrible unnatural flavour - this is not normal. Again, the aroma fo modern chemical rubbers for sports shoes returns in the flavour, mixed with a bit of molasses. Ouch - there’s body, but I’m not sure I do want to know by WHAT. Ugh. I’ve had this beer WAY better before - what are they doing in Scotland. Or is it just this cask... in the White Horse of all places?
