Cask (handpump) @ NWAF 10, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.Clear dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100120]

Cask handpull at Ship & Mitre pub festival, Liverpool. Decent stout, some cereal. Dryish stout. Good choc/coffee/liquorice. Bit of sourness. Really impressed by all 3 Hawkshead beers at the festival. In fact I ended up having another pint of the Hawkshead Special after this, it was so drinkable.
