As it matures in the bottle, St Cuthbert becomes drier, allowing bitterness and alcoholic strength to come to the fore. A heady floral aroma is immediately apparent on pouring. Peachy fruit notes and a moderate bitterness linger on the palate long after enjoying a draught.

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy amber with a small, neat, dense off-white head. Slightly fat hop aroma with the alcohol already showing here. Only medium-bodied, citrusy fresh notes - sort of vitamin-C style. Distinct, bitter finish and a rather dominant alcohol without the body to sustain it. 310706

A hazy orange beer with a nice white head. The aroma is sweet spicy combined with notes of citrus as well hints of caramel. The flavor is very citrusy, malty, and spicy, but also with fruity notes of oranges, and with a lightly bitter end.
