Cask (handpump) @ NWAF 10, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.Clear dark red amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark roasted, mild coffee, dusty, cacao. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100122]

Cask. Pours dark brown with an orange hue and a small rough off-white head. Hard roasted malt in the nose, some coffee and cocoa as well. Light body, almost watery, roasted malt, accents of cocoa and nuts. No real bitterness but there’s a slight underlying tartness. 220110

Cask handpull at Baltic Fleet, Liverpool. Very dark brown. Lovely mild. Lots of bitter coffee and dark choc. Clean in mouth, with some powdery choc/coffee on end. No great fruit, but for flavour, its pretty good
