Hard Ginger Beer. A traditional style ginger beer, made with a malt base, lashings of fresh ginger root, a touch of organic cane sugar, lemon juice & yeast… that's it. Our ginger has a distinctly 'beery' taste without the bitterness of hops. Creating a refreshing, malty spiced brew

Bottle, sold by the brewer at the Good Food Show to gauge public reaction prior to commercial release. Amber, intensely fizzy. Although both the bottle and brewer assured me this was brewed as a beer with a malted barley base, the spicy ginger and tart lemon dominate the flavour to the extent that there’s no trace of beer left - which begs the question, why not go the whole hog and just do it as an alcopop? That said, at least it tastes of fresh ginger and lemon rather than artificial flavourings, and the two are very well balanced. It was far too aggressively fizzy for me, but I overheard positive comments from others.
