On tap. Pours black and opaque with a vague orange hue and a dense light brown head. The nose has hard roasted malt and a whiff of tartness. Surprisingly light-bodied, hard roasted malt and a little licorice, but the tartness grows stronger the further you get into this beer. Not so good. 030910

Draft. A black beer with a brown head. Both the aroma and flavor are dominated by roasted malt. The finish is dry and roasted.
Earlier Rating: 4/26/2005 Total Score: 3.9
A pitch black beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is roasted with strong notes of chocolate. The flavor is very roasted with lots of chocolate, but also some hints of plastic - hmm can the yeast give it plastic hints? The end is dry.
