Howler style from Liquor Shed.
It pours purple with a good 1 finger head of purple tinted foam. The lacing is great!
At first whiff, I get some sweet notes ala Lindemans Raspberry but then a nice fruity tartness settles in, still of the raspberry pursuasion but more complex and delightful.
The taste is of a good fruit beer that resembles a Lambic in some ways. I like the tartness of the fruit, the mild sweetness is easy to cope with. Light yeasty and notes of wheat round it off. Very nice and dry finish.
Fairly light bodied with, I reckon, a little to little carbonation. A bit more fizz would help.
Sipping on this, I’d guesstimate the abv to be between 5 & 6%.
Overall, not a bad attempt at something that I don’t recommend US brewers calling a brew of theirs...Lambic.
