A strong, rich, malty German lager that goes down smooth despite the high ABV. This Bavarian specialty was first brewed in Munich by the monks of St Francis of Paula and called “liquid bread” while consumed during the Lenten fast. We stuck to tradition and brewed according to Reinheitsgebot to bring you one of our favorite brews of all time.

Draft: Poured a dark amber brown with a off white head that became a ring around the glass. Aroma is sweet malty, light earthiness, nutty. Taste a bit tangy, full bodied, sweet malts, underlying molasses.
