Bottle - dark gold pour with some giant-ass floaties - fairly decent head/lace for the strength - not sure what malts were used here, but their character is expressed well - sweet, earthy, peaty, bready - think Iβm tasting some Golden Promise character in there - bottom line: nicely British malt expression - alcohol presence combines with the barrel treatment to create a pretty boozy experience after the initial approach - that mellows out a bit as it warns but never totally dissipates - lingering earthy malt expression finishes - a mixed bag.
