Dark malts and a touch of rye grace this black double IPA with a toasted rye bread quality. Hints of dark cocoa and stone fruit pair well with the citrus and woody character of the Amarillo and Citra hops to walk a line between decadent and savory. Black Valentine first perceives sweet but then finishes balanced and ends on the mid palate with notes of chocolate and orange zest.

Draft: Poured a black brown with a tan head. Aroma is huge hops, citrus, bold malts. Taste is hops forward, nice lively bitterness, malty roast balance.
