A brand new British hop developed by hop merchants Charles Faram of Malvern that brings New World-style tropical intensity of flavours.
Fruit flavours and aromas, including mango, grapefruit, and passionfruit.
Complex bitterness with citrus and tropical fruit.
The name of the hop variety relates to a Roman fort believed to have been established in the West Yorkshire town of Ilkley.
The ninth in our occasional series of varietal beers designed to showcase the hop characteristics. Unfined for yet more flavour.
What’s in it:
Pale Maris Otter malt, Munich, Wheat malts

Cask, on gravity at the brewery as part of the East Bristol Brewery Trail 27/8/2016. Hazy gold in colour with a decent, white, head. Floral hops, biscuity malts, and a touch of citrus fruit leading to a dryish finish. Good.
