When the boys go out to war a candle is placed in the window and it stays lit until they come home. Though there may be light lit forever, there is a darkest that lingers. Our newest stout is inspired by the continual light burning, waiting for the soldiers to come home that never will.

Pint at the brewery pours a deep black, Grey head. Nose has malt and molasses. More coffee here than the brown ale. Toast and malt. Big malt and bread and molasses in the mouth. Chewy grains. Some coffee grounds. Medium full, just off dry. 6 4 7 4 13
