Entering old-rates .75cl @ 2010 RBWG, Orlando. Petite merveille des premières brassin de CCB. Couleur brune col ocre. Arôme est agréablement fume avec des notes de malt fume et fruits noirs allant vers les dates, figues et prunes. Carbonnation reste active sans être trop en avant. Au palais, même chose, bière fumée à souhait sans être dérangeant. Garde un somptueux volume fruité au palais avec un malt bien fumé ainsi que une once de chocolat.

Bottle shared very generously by Kramer at RBSG. (Back log entry from notes at gathering). Pours black with tan head. Nose/taste of bread, smoked toffee, smoked chocolate malt, smoked pulled pork and lots of oxidation. Medium body.

Bottle 750ml. @ Petalax Beer Festival 2010 - the 4th. edition.Clear dark black brown color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, vintage, smoke, licorice notes, light alcohol. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, raisins, sherry, berry - licorice acicic, chocolate, smoked, chili notes. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20100703]

Dark brown color, small beige head. Strong smoked aroma with portwineous cellary notes (raisins, sherry). Full-bodied. Tasty smokeyness, raisins, plums, licorice, some alcohol in the finish. Smooth and soft. Very wineous, strong and complex rauchbier.

Bottled@PBF2010 (Thanks Joey Redner!). Deep rubyish brown colour with small off-white head. Aroma is raisins, smoked, some mild notes of leathery notes and some alcohol. Flavour is raisins, smoked, leathery, mildly wooden, alcoholic as well as quite Pleasant and very thick beer. Shows some slight notes of age.

bottle at RBWG. Pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is strong sugary coffee and roasted malt. Sweet roasted malt upfront that turns very smokey into a lingering cured meat and BBQ finish. Very good.

RBWG@RLRL-thanks to SEABASS!–750ml bottle– pours a disappering tan head and brown color that sheets the glass. Aroma is leather, smoke, medium/dark malt, dark fruit. Taste is leather, smoke, medium/dark malt, dark fruit, some earthy hops.

Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt, roasted malt, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, caramel, roasted malt, and chocolate, leading to a dry finish. It has a nice body. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Dark brown with red glimts and a tiny beige and short lasting head. Aroma had liquerice, hard roasted malt, dark bitter chocolate and woody notes. Flavour had smoke, had roasted malt, wood and dark bitter chocolate. Finish was fairly smoked and bitter. Had loads of warming alcohol. Loved it.

75 cL botle, courtesy of Papsoe/Retorp. Pours dark brown with a fully gone head. Aroma is roasted breadish, caramelish and solid smoked. Slight sweet to acidic flavoured. Lingering roasted malty flavoured too, interesting mix. Dry and slight phenolic flavoured finish. Lasting smoked impression.
