1 l bottle from 'EDEKA Gronemann' (Castrop-Rauxel), best before February 2024. Slightly hazy, deep amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-floral and a bit grassy aroma of honey, grains, straw, grapefruit and apricot. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite grassy and a bit fruity-floral taste of grains, straw, grapefruit, some honey and light apricot, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Interesting Zwickel, quite hoppy for the style, pleasant mouthfeel as well. Not bad!

Trübes goldgelbes Bier mit einer schönen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch getreidig malzig, grasig. Geschmack getreidig malzig, leicht süß, langweilig.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, malty-moldy, modest sourish, not too much. Hoppy-dry background. Light fruity hints of lemon. Quite drinkable. Nice!

Matschig-bernstein im Glas. The nose is a bit neutral, a bit grain. The beer starts smooth, grainy. A bit mouldy. Highly-drinkable and a bit sweetish. The aftertaste is grainy-smooth, slightly sweet and moderate bitter.

Draught at the brauhaus
Cloudy (almost muddy) deep blond color with creamy persistent head. The aroma of malt is nice but mild. The mouthfeel is strong, very smooth, with malt flavor, partially crispy and almost biscuity; good bitterness level, with some quality hop, although the grassy qualities are a bit hidden.

Bottle 1000ml. w. swing top. [ As Castroper Zwickelbier ].Light unclear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, light yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, hay. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100630]

(Bottle, 1 l, at One Pint Pub) Poured pale orange and cloudy. Head was medium sized and white. Aroma contained grass, herbs and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, grass, fruitiness, grain, malts and bitterness. Afertaste was herbal and bitter.

1 liter bottle@One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Hazy orangeish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is malts, some yeast, herbs and mild notes of earth. Flavour is being quite much the same. A quite balanced brew.
