Dark brown, minimal head but nice lacing. Lots of chocolate on the nose, very roasty with a hint of coffee and bitter dark chocolate. Taste is similar.

Bottle at JF’s, Brewdog Online, 07/03/13. Light black (extremely dark mahogony brown in light) with a thin tan head. Nose is roast malt, chocolate, dark fruits, dark sugar, touch of coffee. Taste comprises roast malt, toffee, biscuit, chocolate, mineral tones. Medium bodied with light prickly carbonation - a little overcooked for me in this respect, lending towards a dry finish. A decent enough porter.

A colablack beer with a medium and beige head. Aroma of balanced roastiness, enjoyable chocolate, coffee and lactose. Taste is roasted, black coffee, some dark chocolate, dry and herbal hoppyness in the aftertaste. Quite simple, roasted taste, but itäs good. In this case, simpler is better. Medium+ bodied, quite smooth and anjoyable. Nice, roasted Porter with also other nunacees... In the label was notification to try mix with Big Eye IPA, so I did it. Aroma of "Black Eye" is slightly tropical fruity with liquirice, nice. In the taste fruits and roastiness are not so balanced, roastiness is dominating, some fruits and grapefruity bitterness. Nice experiment, but this isn’t give anyhing more.compared to original beers.

Dark brown color, with some red shade, and small head. Some dark caramel and roasted malt aroma, with hints of oxidisation. Lean mouthfeel, pleasant roasted malt flavor, still delicate, with a hint of fruitiness and freshness from the hops; quite strong bitterness, but overall balanced.
Well brewed and pleasant.

Shaker pint draft at the Yard House in the Red Rock Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada. The pour is a murky brown black with a small tan head. Nice lacing left behind as the beer drinks down. The aroma is lightly sweet malt, blended nicely with a pine hop, along with an integrated roast char character at the end. The taste follows the nose, with nicely blended and balanced malt sweetness, pine hops and roast in the finish. The palate is light to medium bodied, soft natural carbonation and a clean dry mineral finish. Solid version of a hoppy porter.

From a 650ml bottle on 4/8/2012. Pours a very dark brown with a smallish head. Has a lovely aroma of chocolate, coffee, caramel and roasted malt. The flavours mirror the nose, with espresso, dark chocolate and a roasty, hoppy bitterness featuring prominently. Has a medium body. This is a superior and quite assertive porter, which exhibits quite a bit of complexity. Hope I’ll get an opportunity to follow the brewer’s rec and mix it with their outstanding Big Eye IPA.

Bottle, 12C. Clear dark brown with a large beige head that fades to half an inch. Aroma of chocolate, grass, some roasted malt and coffee. Fairly light bodied. Much more coffee in the taste and that and orangey hops kick in pretty early obscuring the chocolate and roasted flavours a bit - although those and a little nuttiness come through more strongly as it warms. Refreshing but uninvolving - possibly two sides of the same clean American coin.
