Beer with a incredible black, black as sicilian night, with 7 malts to tame it, to savor with knowledge of the facts, maybe you saw after dinner with a chocolate dessert that knows how to hold his own.
It is Impenetrable, with foam coffee-milk, compact, fine and persistent, with an aspect vinous.
At the nose shows notes of roasted coffee and roasted barley.
The taste of licorice, cocoa and dried fruit, with a prevalence of toasted tones that come back in the end.

Sample from bottle at RBNAG 2014, Halden, Grand Tasting. Black colour, large beige head. Strange aroma, first some vinous notes, then less pleasant dusty notes, before the roastiness comes through. Medium roasty flavour with hints of acidity.

Black color with a fine beige head. Pleasant acidic fruity aroma with some coffee and dark malt. Medium + body. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. I really enjoyed this one. Pleasant fruity, chocolate, dark malt and some acidic notes that was well fitted in to this beer.

From a shared 75cl bottle at RBNG-14. Pours hazy brown with a tan head. Aroma of dark malts, dark berries, dark chocolate and hints of dark fruits and some yeasty notes too. Fairly sweet with some sour notes and a not much bitterness. Pleasant stuff. (2014-02-15 - Grand Tasting, Fredriksten festning, Halden)

Bottle, 75cl wine corked, at RBNG-14 Grand Tasting. Caused a bit trouble this one as no one brough a wine opener. But we conquered it. It’s dark brown in color, with a small, off-white head. The aroma has a wonderful sourish touch, with dark dried fruits, coffee notes, chocolate and salty licorice. Full body with quite a lot of carbonation. Semi-dry. Dark dried fruits and roasted malts in the flavor, some bitterness chiming in. Lasting finish with a nice peppery and sourish touch. Sure nice this one. 140215
