Bottle @ home shared by TomHendriksen. Clear pale yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste wheat, slightly a hint of dishwasher water, blossomy, more bitter than I had expected. Average body and carbonation.

A 0.33 l bottle, thanks Marko! It poured a hazy yellow body with a small head. Fine orange aroma, wheaty chalky yeast and cooked apricot or quince. Lightly sweet candy to chalky flavor with distinct, pleasant and strong orange peel note whichadded to the bitterness as well. Chalky and earthy, but not spicy. Shorter, chalky and orange peel finish, which was by far the most pleasant note in it. Maybe a bit thin, but hey, it’s a wit, and a decent one anyhow.

A surprise find at the local Feniks supermarket in Split, guessing they threw some crates of these in when they ordered Phoenix. Shared with heavy & others. milky yellow body with a tiny white head. Yeasty, dry aroma, apricot, bitter orange peel. Dry, bitter flat taste, yeasty, orange notes (light), slight creamy. Simply put - a bitter, dry/light version of a classic Wit. And, for these guys, a huge step forward. Not a bad beer, even though it didn’t suit me.

Bottle brought by a friend, inspired by a traditional historic recipe. Hazy pale yellow color, medium frothy head. Aroma is spicy of coriander and some licorice root, bit sulphury, grainy wheat. Bit sweet in taste, grainy wheat, quite spicy. But fusion of a spicy belgian witbier and how a traditional princessebier could have tasted. Pretty decent effort and certainly for a company like united dutch breweries.
