Cask half-pint on 25th July 2016 at Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates. As the pump clip stated: this is a tawny coloured bitter, on top an off-white crown. Twiggy and woody, an ’old school’ bitter in every way with a malty front and a bitter finish: liked it a lot.

Bottled. Lightly hazy amber, small head. Aroma of raspberries and old fat. Dryish with clean mouthfeel and light body. Apricots and old meat. Low bitterness.

Cask, Bell Inn, Caerleon. Dark amber with a smallish off-white head. Aroma was largely malt dominated as was the flavour . Vague fruity notes. Tolerable but pretty drab. Better off with the cider at this venue. Food good too.
