Flasche von Bio-Berlin (MHD: 5/2015). - Trotz schwungvollen Eingießens so gut wie kein Schaum. Goldgelb, leicht trüb. - Duftet wie ein trockener Cidre: mild herb-fruchtig nach Äpfeln, dazu muffige Kellernoten und holzige Herbe. - Im Antrunk deutlich (aber angenehm) säuerlich-zitronig und herb. Leicht getreidig (Weizen), zarte muffige Kellernoten. Mild rezent. Im Abgang sehr trocken, mit prononcierter Milchsäure, mäßig herb. Hopfen ist kaum zu erahnen. Sehr erfrischend und aufgrund des niedrigen Alkoholgehalts (3 %) ein idealer Durstlöscher. - Schön trockene, säuerlich-fruchtige Weiße, die sehr an einen trockenen Apfelwein erinnert und von fern auch an Gueuze, wenngleich längst nicht so extrem im Geschmack wie diese. Schade, daß diese sehr trinkbare Berliner Weiße nicht unter dieser Bezeichnung in den Handel gebracht werden darf ...

Bügelverschlußflasche (Danke, Stephan!): Pale golden, hazy, small and creamy persistent white head; sourish cellary, citric and wheaty nose with a touch of turpentine (presumably necrotic yeast); moderate sourish-bitter flavour, light bodied - as expected; cellary-citric finish with a slight touch of Brett(?).O.K., not bad...

Bottle. Pours clear golden with small white head. Clear, vinous aroma. Ditto flavour, with notes of yeast amd hops. Sourish aftertaste. I am not particularly fond of this beer style, bute this one is below the average even so.

Schön hell-trübe Farbe im Glas, sehr saurer Geruch. Der Antrunk ist mild-sauer, schön weich. Zum Hauptteil legt sich die anfänglich deutliche Säure etwas bleibt aber deutlich über dem Berliner-Kindl-Niveau. Hinzu kommen fruchtige Aromen, eine frische Spritzigkeit, leicht trockenes Mundgefühl. Der Nachgeschmack ist vollmundig, angenehm sauer, leicht trocken-herb und irgendwie ganz leicht metallisch. Aber sehr schön rund, mild-sauer zugleich, gut.

The beer in the glass is yellow-pale, the nose is intense sour-fruity. The beer starts fruity and sourish. Very refreshing - and very fresh. Probably as fresh as the beer on my rating 4 years ago was. The beer is in the aftertaste smooth, sourish-fresh, gets a bit dryer to the end. Very nice beer that tastes nearly as fresh as 4 years ago. Sourish smooth, the sourness reduced a bit till the end, but remains fresh in the mouth.
An absolutely great Berliner Weisse!
