Mouth-watering, balanced and smooth. A combination of specialist malt gives it roasted chocolate and biscuit notes. Then the Challenger, Northdown and EKG hops break through releasing bursts of toffee and flowery tones. 2017 & 2018 Cheshire Stout Category Winner & 2018 Cheshire Overall BRONZE Winner.

Pendle Beer Festival 2026 Beer#2. Second stout at the Colne Muni Theatre, this one with much better body, giving it a smooth mouthfeel. Aroma and taste are light roasted chocolate and coffee.

Hand-pulled cask ale, half pint, shared with Finn. Bubbles on the surface of a deep black body, spotty lacing. Roasted malt-driven aromas, scents of caramel, promising. Balanced flavour profile with caramel-chocolate followed by a backdrop of coffee. Roasted bitter tail. Like it.

(First session, 44th Liverpool Beer Festival, Metropolitan Cathedral Crypt, 13.02.2025).
