Another disappearing beer style, this dark beer is enjoying a small revival among beer lovers. Mid Brown to almost black, with some red hues, this beer contains pale malt and will contain a proportion of roast, black or chocolate malts. Initial sweetness is balanced by later hop bite. This is brewed in the American style with all American hops.
Note - previously brewed under Harwich Town.

Cask, gravity dispense at Merton Summer Beer Festival July 18th and 19th 2008 This was sent to us under what I understand to be the correct name, i.e. Parkeston Porter. Brown in colour with some light cocoa on the nose. Unremarkable in the flavour department but it still manages to tick the right boxes, bit sweet at times but balanced by some hoppiness not bad at all.
