Tap. Pours clear mahogany, medium beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is ashtray, roast, hints of smoke, tobacco, cocoa. Flavor is light sweet, xx light plus bitter, roasty and faintly smoky. Medium body. Solid Porter. Certainly does not belong as a smoked beer in style.

Certainly both light on the smoke and colour in this relatively lighter porter. However, the body is fullsome which makes this beer a winner. Gilman Berkeley.
