Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a deep amber with a beige head. Sweet roasted malt in the nose. Medium body, roasted malts and a little nuts and soap. Has a very metallic edge. Dry and hoppy finish. 031009

Bottle from a box ordered from Beers of Europe, consumed 30-01-09 Pours clear chesnut colour with a white head. The nose is fruity and malty. Taste is quite simple, malt and fruit play there part again with the occasional streak of citrus and bitterness comes through. This is an enjoyable beer and the first Altbier I’ve rated. (Bottle at One Pint Pub, Helsinki, on 2008-12-05) Deep amber and clear. Medium sized white head. Malty and slightly metallic nose. Medium bodied and dry palate with medium carbonation. Malts, bitterness and some roastedness in taste. Bitter and lightly malty aftertaste.

Wenig malziger, dafür süß fruchtiger Geruch Nektarinen. Dünn und billig bitter wirkender Malzantrunk welcher sich im Mittelteil zum schlechten hin veränder, das Bier wird etwas bitterer, das noch deutlich schmeckbare Malz gerät in den Hintergrund. Leicht hopfig, wässriger hinterer Mittelteil und Abgang, in dem die billig wirkende Bitterkeit wieder einsetzt. Wenig empfehlenswert. Test vom 14.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,6,7,4,6,4 - 5,45

Bottle: Amber coloured, stable, fluffy off-white head; nearly no detectable malty aroma, mainly vegetables in the nose with a tinge of sweetness; watery, shy bitter flavour; slightly bitter, metallic and maybe also fruity finish. The new owners run the brewery prettily down.........

(bottle) This one looks and tastes the same as Bolten Alt, which I had shortly before. Except for the slightly different temperature, I would say it is probably the same brew as a cheaper version. Same rating for this one.
