Cask at Architect, Chester. Pours a pale straw with a small white head and good lacing. There’s some vague floral hops in the aroma, and these come through much more in the mouth. Along with grains and hints of lemon and citrus. It starts as slightly sweet and then becomes slightly bitter – more so in the finish. This is a decent nicely balanced pale.

Cask @ D'Ale House, Rochdale. Golden with a creamy head. Floral-hoppy with a drab floral-bitterness in the main, with hints of English fruits.
