[December 2024 batch]

It’s a low abv, bottom-fermented beer made with traditional European yeast, with subtle cracker and slight malty flavors but with a powerful hop kick! It needs to have a fair amount of bitterness to balance out its malty profile but without being overpowering, still a light lager at the end of day. We Dry-hopped ours with Strata hops + some fresh hop oil—this time, Nelson Sauvin.

The result is a fresh, light, crisp, and refreshing beer with only 4.2% ABV.

GRAIN: Pilsner malt, Vienna Malt, flaked rice.
HOT SIDE: Magnum, Czech Saaz.
COLD SIDE: Nelson Sauvin fresh hop oil & strata.

355ml can. Pours a clear pale gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves thick, sticky curtains of lace. Mild aroma of crackery pale malt, lemon, yeast and herbal hops. Sweet flavour of crackery pale malt, lemon, white grape, floral and grassy hops in a crisp, dry, bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Tasty and crushable.

Poured from 355mL can. Clear blonde with small white head. Bland rice character, lager yeast, feint grass and tropical hops. Odd combo, average.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has a lightly floral hop character, with some citrusy lemon tang, and an odd herbal character. Flavour is weird, with a slightly vegetal, herbal hop character, and crisp biscuity malt. That hop expresion isn’t working for me.

5oz pour at The Magnet. Pours clear blonde with a white head. Rosemary on the nose. Flavour has a very herbal rosemary component throughout. There's grass and cracker malts underneath. Not very good, completely dominated by the herbs.
