Bottle from Taste@Rheged, Cumbria. Golden with a very small head. Golden ale with a hoppiness, and surprisingly for its strength plenty of depth making it feel and taste stronger than it is.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 4/7/2017. Golden in colour, with a decent, white, head. Light cereal malts, a touch of green apple and apricot fruits, trace of leafy hops and moderately bitter finish. Not a beer I would rush to drink again.

Bottle from Rheged. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - somewhere between fudge and clotted cream. Didn’t expect that. Some lemon aroma but dominated by these sweet smells. Taste - more fudge but some citrus this time. Palate - light bodied and textured. The finishcould be cleaner. Overall - the aroma was a little off putting.
