Samuel Adams Holiday Porter is a full-flavored porter inspired by the famous drink of London’s Victorian era luggage porters. Brewed with generous portions of Caramel, Munich and Chocolate malt, this hearty porter finishes with traditional English Fuggles and East Kent Goldings. Cheers!

Opaque brown-black, with an off-white beige head that fades out after a few minutes. Mild sweet dark chocolate aroma. Medium bodied, fairly middle of the road. Easy drinking, but still displays a nice bitter chocolate aftertaste. Porter all the way, captures the style well. Watery body, but lots of specialty malt tones. Good.

12 oz bottle. Aromas are faint. I smell a bit of caramel malt, a bit of coffee. Aromas open up a bit, get more pronounced, after sitting in an English Pint for awhile. Pours deep brown with minor head, great lacing. Nice toasty sweet flavor. NIce and creamy. Finishes slightly bitter. A good, not great porter.

Really nice porter from a brewer that i expect the worst from now. Nice toasted malts with a great aftertaste that keeps you coming back for another sip.

Bottle: Poured a brown with white to off white head. Aroma is malty. The taste is a mix of caramel and roasted malt, hints of chocolate and slightly acidic metal keep the tongue invited for more of this brew.

Overall Impression: Another one from the winter variety pack Sam puts out, this one a pretty decent Porter, overall the pack offers some pretty nice, seasonal beers

Pours a mahogany-tinged ebony into a Sam glass. Off-white head recedes at a fair pace with very little lacing. Slightly smoked fig and spice aromas. Crisp with sweet caramel maltiness upfront. Slightly sour chocolate finish with a touch of soy

12 ounce bottle courtesy of Alraomon. Thanks Sean! Pours a very dark red-tinted brown color with a very large tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma is roasted malts with a creamy lactic note. Sweet, lactic taste with roasted malts and some hop bitterness. Medium bodied.
