Samuel Adams Holiday Porter is a full-flavored porter inspired by the famous drink of London’s Victorian era luggage porters. Brewed with generous portions of Caramel, Munich and Chocolate malt, this hearty porter finishes with traditional English Fuggles and East Kent Goldings. Cheers!

(Bottle) Dark brown colour with hints of ruby, frothy pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with chocolate, cocoa, soy sauce, prunes and a hint of smoke. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, cocoa, dark rye bread and a balanced coffee bitterness towards the finish. Medium body, rather short. Good balance. Nice and tasty english style porter.

Black color. Nothing more than an ordinary Porter, with light spicy taste, a bit too much black malt and therefore distrurbing bitterness.

Aroma was somewhat weak. What I could smell was mainly malts (toasted grains and chocolate) with some brown sugar. Color was a dark mahogany with a matching light brown head. Flavor was a typical porter with a bitter and sour finish. Mouthfeel was dry with a light alcohol backnote.
