Samuel Adams Holiday Porter is a full-flavored porter inspired by the famous drink of London’s Victorian era luggage porters. Brewed with generous portions of Caramel, Munich and Chocolate malt, this hearty porter finishes with traditional English Fuggles and East Kent Goldings. Cheers!

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a light tan herad. LIght caramel and slight roast aroma. LIght roasty flavor with caramel and spice. Medium body. Caramel and spice lingers. Not bad.

I think that the colour of this was black, though id didn’t drink it in the best possible light. Nice big tan head. Aroma was of roasted malts and dark chocolate. Taste was similar with roasted malts, dark chocolate and some pleasant bitterness. I enjoyed it pretty much.

Courtesy of Quake1028. Pours clear deep amber with two inch tan head. The aroma is roasty, mildly astringent, faint caramel and spice. The taste begins even with roasty to burnt malts. The flavor builds toward chocolate and faint sweet caramel before a mild malt astringency surfaces. Very nice chocolate note. Toward the finish a modest burnt maltiness rises up and follows the chocolate into the after taste. Nice mouth feel.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a tan head that dies down fairly quickly. Aromas of molasses, dark fruit and chocolate. My first thoughts are that if this had a little more oomph it would be a spectacular beer. It has a nice blend of molasses, chocolate, burnt malt and dark fruit that would be great if it were turned up a notch. Mouthfeel is silky smooth and very creamy, and there is sort of a creamy taste to the whole thing.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a medium tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is a roasted malt with caramel and black licorice. Good lacing on the glass. The taste is a sweet malt with dark chocolate and a dry finish. A very good porter by Sam Adams.

Dark ruby color, small creamy expresso head. Sticky woody nose. Liquerish palate. Some toffee, a bit alcohol and coffee. Strange "porter", but good and interesting brew. Dessert drink.

Bottled. Dark ruby, firm head. Chocolatey nose. Sweetish and medium bodied with clean mouthfeel. Pleasant flavours of dark chocolate and cocoa powder that lingers well into the finish. Pretty good effort.

Bottle. Dark brown. Roasted malts aroma. Chocolate, caramel flavor. Not the best porter I’ve had, but certainly decent enough.
