Pours a cloudy orange red with a good head of foam and decent retention.

Smells and tastes bready and grainy, definitely not overly sweet. .could use more of that, imho.

Pretty ample body and carbonation.

Just another average Oktoberfest.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, BVery with the hookup, poured into an English pint glass. Slightly hazy copper with small off-white head. Aroma is light herbal hops, medium body, medium carbonation, and little small lacing. Taste is caramel malt, some slightly oxidized bread, some herbal hops, hints of dark chocolate, and slightly bitter finish. Slightly past its prime.

Pour is a clear amber with a large white head. Aroma is caramel malts and rpsted nuts. flavor is a littel weaker. Some malts are there but this is pretty thin. Finish leaves some bready malt. Nothing bad to say about this as it was going in the right direction, it’s just a little thin all around.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 11/14/11

Aroma: The nose is rather malty, with nuts, bread, caramel, and a little bit of earthiness
Appearance: Pours a clear pale yellow-orange color with a huge white head and heavy lace
Flavor: It tastes rather malty, medium sweet, a little caramel, some roast, nuttiness, and later bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, though a touch watery, with a fairly smooth feel, and a decently dry finish
Overall Impression: Overall, this is a decent beer. There isn’t anything I can necessarily pinpoint as wrong with it, but there isn’t anything especially great about it either. It really is just an alright beer.

The beer pours a bright amber-brown with a rocky off-white head. The aroma is mostly caramel with an earthy yeast tone and an herbal hoppiness. The malt has a tasty German character. It’s a bit nutty. It’s mildly sweet with a drying finish and a gentle hop bite. There’s a lot of nice German flavor bouncing around. Easy to drink and fairly refreshing. Mouthfeel is pretty standard. Average carbonation. A bit slick. This is a surprisingly tasty beer, particularly for one that I was mostly looking forward for the state tick. It’s got some nice, authentic German flavor and a nicely balanced tone.
