Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a medium light tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is dark chocolate and a caramel malt. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a light malt with licorice and caramel finish. A very good brew from Samuel Adams.

12oz bottle pours out a murky brown topped with a small tan head. Some fruit and chocolate on this brew. I also picked up a little spice.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours amber and hazy with a little lacing head. Malty and slight spied aroma. Sweet malty with a distinct spice note. Has ginger, cinnamon and ginger. Somewhat too much. Even for christmas. Ends spiced.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Slightly hazy, dark amber golden with an off-white head. Lightly fruity nose. Medium in body with lightly sweet, roasted malt with some spicy touches. Prertty much no bitterness. 180907

Hazy dark chestnut color; creamy head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, caramel, light vanilla, toffee. The flavor is not up to expectations, maybe a bit dry, with respectably good caramel flavor, but with a vegetables touch too. These beers are not my kind, but it’s not too bad.

Bottle. Nice dark brown color. Caramel, cinnamon and orange aromas. Very similar flavors. Just like the last batch of beer I brewed so I think it’s pretty good.

It pours a nice brown colour... not very dark, but certainly appetizing. It smells quite nice and carmely as well. Only got a few sips so I might have missed something, but the taste that I got was a smooth, slightly chocolately taste with a bunch of spices thrown into the mix.

Clear brown body with a medium frothy tan head. Sweet molassas and spice aroma. Dry molassas and fruit with a bit of spice and a light bitter ending. Odd funky aftertaste that lingers a bit too long.

I can see where they are going with this. I picked up lots of nutmeg in the aroma and flavor. Lightly spiced, there is some cinnamon as well as malt. Hop character is nonexistent. Muddy brown appearance with a moderate sized brown head.

Bottle: Brown color with rudy tones. Lots of spices present, with cinnamon, orange zest, and ginger being the most obvious. Seemed like a bit of chocolate and malts on the back end. Medium bodied and easy to drink. A nice session brew for the holidays.
