Bottle 500ml. @ home.Clear medium amber orange color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, old malt dusty, light to moderate hoppy, light herbs - flowers. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, vomit notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100414]

Nice hazy golden amber coloured body with a copper glow and a very nice one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of caramel, apricots, cereal, metal, pears and a touch of spice. Medium-bodied; Sharp malty flavour at first fading to some metallic and bloody tastes with a touch of nuts and caramel, but mostly watery. Aftertaste shows a lot of caramel and malt, but almost nothing else. Overall, a pretty bland and watery beer after the initial tastes. Definitely good to try a welsh beer, after the folk life festival (in Washington) that I couldn’t get one at the festival, but found a few bottles at Chevy Chase. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits in Washington, DC on 25-July-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 22-November-2009.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Clear amber golden with a dense off-white head. Aroma of nuts and fat British aroma hops. Light body, dry notes of roasted malt and nuts. Dry and lightly bitter finish. 270609

Pours amber into an English pint. Offwhite micro head with good retention leaves spotted sheets as it recedes to coat surface. Sweet pit fruit aromas. Full and bready with caramel and raisins upfront, turning slightly metallic toward the bitter hop finish. Nice flavor for the abv.
