16 ounce can. Opaque black color. Small bubbly tan head. Big roasted malt aroma is redolent of dark roast coffee. Flavor mirrors aroma. Plenty of roast, plenty of coffee, plenty of flavor.

Super deep dark brown coloured body with a very opaque, super dark glow with a one to two centimetre tall rich brown head that fades very quickly and leaves just about nothing on top. Aroma of super deep and bitter coffee, roasted malt, oatmeal, grain, lactose, brown and caramelised sugars - strong throughout! Medium-bodied; Strong rich roasted malt dominates with a ton of coffee flavours as well, with a tiny bit of caramelised sugars, molasses and brown sugar, with some lactose at the very end. Aftertaste is very bitter, with the roasted malt, oatmeal, grain and especially molasses coming through, but the coffee bitterness and pungency is by far the strongest. Overall, a very strong and pungent deep and bitter porter with a great deal of coffee and roasted malt notes that are quite nice with a mild amount of sweetness at the end. Great for the end of the season, especially as a coffee-lover at perhaps the final chilly night of the season! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 21-December-2019 for US$3,99 sampled at home in Washington without aging, on 13-May-2020.
