Our Tripel is golden with a relatively light body compared to its alcohol content. Bottle-conditioning creates an effervescent mouth feel, as well as the distinct Belgian lace prized in Belgian beers. The use of European noble hops creates a mild spicy flavor. Fermented with a traditional, Trappist Belgian yeast strain, this beer has subtle fruity and banana flavors.

Bottle thanks to a generous name who’s name escaped me. Pours a hazy gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma is quite sweet with sweet grains and fruits as well as a hint of a floral note. Flavor is similarly sweet with sweet grains backed by light fruits and a bit of a floral note.

Bottle at the Funky 6. Pours vibrant yellow-gold with a sturdy, white head. Plenty of spices, Belgian yeast and sugary fruits on the nose. Some nice coriander, clove, candi, malt, alcohol and banana. Full bodied with strong carbonation. Sweet, warming finish with lingering Belgian character and spice. Very nice.

750 from Randall’s Wines and Spirits. Pours dark hazy gold with a foamy 4 finger off-white head. Aromas of yeast, peachy stone fruit and kandi. Near full bodied with frothy carbonation. It is very fruity in a slightly cooked way. The yeast/spice seems mildly peppery. With time the pepper seems to build in the mouth. Not a lot going on here, but the flavor is fairly intense and keeps the attention. Very good.

Pours clear gold into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes to skim surface leaving spot lacing. Sweet candi and alcohol aromas. Sweet and hot with front to back roasted caramel and hay. Burning finish.

Big fancy bottle. Pours a fairly clear gold color (second glass from the bottle is very cloudy, with tons of floaties, however) with a very large fizzy white head that dies down pretty slowly and leaves lots of suds on the sides of the glass. Aromas are sweet and spicy... Lots of honey and dough, a bit oi pear and apple fruitiness and cloves to balance it out. Flavor is very similar, but borders on a little too robust (especially the stinging alcohol). This is big, sweet and very assertive.
