NOT FOR THE TIMID. This non-traditional beer is an Oatmeal Stout, Milk Stout AND an Imperial Stout all in one. With a complex flavor profile ranging from coffee to chocolate, the sweetness is complemented with Nugget and Centennial hops to produce an extraordinary finish. But with an 8.5% ABV, don't let the smooth taste fool you - this beer is like the Kern at high water.

Bottle from South Bay Drug. Pours really dark with a slight dark tan head. Very dark aromas of chocolate, coffee and burnt malt. Near full body with mildly frothy carbonation. Flavor is very smooth burnt malt and chocolate, the coffee holds off a bit. Quite a good drink.

Bottle - thanks odeed. Dark brown with a finger of creamy tan head. Aroma is roasty and sweet with milk chocolate. Taste is rich with espresso and lightly roasty, more chocolate, and a bittersweet tail. Great mouthful, balanced in flavors, and overall quite pleasant.

Courtesy of Quake1028. Pours very dark, dare I say black, with thin lasting tan head. The aroma is roasted malts, burnt malts, mild malt sweetness and licorice. The flavor is smooth and blended nicely. There’s burnt malts, roasted malts, some licorice and very mild malt astringency. Very nice stout.

Growler from the Brewpub and sampler at the brewpub! Nose of chocolate, roasty coffee, and caramel malts; almost opaque dark walnut with a small tan head (nitrogen pushed beer, the haed was better at the brewpub); Silky smooth mouthfeel in the medium body; flavor showing chocolate, caramel and roasted malts, with light coffe notes. This brewpub is a jewel in progress!
