Cask, gravity at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, brewery shop 17.05.12 thanks to Ollie Pours reddy brown with a few skittery bubbles across the surface. Initially malty with a background hoppiness. Seems quite robust and assertive and quite different to the Plain Indulgence Porter that I have just had. To be fair it isn’t trying to be anything other than an fair stab at a UK interpretation of a ’stateside red ale’ according to the blurb, I cannot say that I am that familiar with the style but the beer is nonetheless very pleasant.
