33 cl. bottle @ Grand Café Centraal, Eindhoven. Dark brown with no head at all. Caramel aroma with some spiciness. Taste is bittersweet with a decent amount of carbonation which is a bit strange given that it has no head. A tasty dubbel nonetheless.

Sampled draft @ brewery. Blackish dark brown, little tanned. Nose is low varnish, umami, soap, prune syrup, sugar, dates, bit to big on varnish-like notes. Taste is overly umami, varnish, soap, sugar, dates, molasses, big glues, sugar, prunes,… Molasses & varnish body. Excessive in non-apropriate ways.

Draught as a smaller serving, same size as of the ones that were part of a flight at the brewery bar (Stadsbrouwerij Eindhoven) on December 11, 2015.Hazy dark brown color, teal head, plenty of lacing left on the glass. Spicy, light toasted, grainy taste. Fizzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Grainy, alcohol aftertaste. Sweet, alcohol, spicy scent.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, deep copper colour with average, frothy to macropore, constantly diminishing, off-white head. Quite neutral aroma, some grain and yellow apple, hints of raisin. Taste is slightly spicy yeasty, minimally fruity, hints of apple and raisin; quite neutral grainy body, hints of alcohol.

Nice clear, dark brown colour. Has a fairly nutty and malty taste. So e toasted malts. Reminds me of a good ESB.

Bottle shared @ weekly tasting. Unclear light brown color, small to average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, some caramel, pretty sweet and sugary. There’s something weird in the flavor but I can’t identify what it is. Average body and carbonation.

Bottle @ home shared by benzai. Hazy brown colour, small white head. Smells caramel, herbs, sweet. Tastes very sweet, some raisins, slightly malty. Taste isn’t very extreme. Feels a bit thin. Carbo is nice though.
