Cask @ Volunteer Arms, GBBF 2009. Pours a golden color wit a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with some hoppy citrus hints. Has a fruity malty hoppy finish with some hints of caramel in the aftertaste.

Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks 07-09-09 Pours gold and it has to be said that this beer looks quite stunning, I suppose that you should expect nothing less in one of its own pubs, but the clarity is top notch, nice slim white head a real looker. The aroma is possibly one of the very slight negative points, nothing wrong with it, its sweet, malty and pleasant but with the hop usage you would have expected a little more, Taste is malty and with a very good balance of sweetness and bitterness, some late hoppiness makes this beer most enjoyable but it could have been even better had the aroma been ratcheted up a notch or two and if this had of been just a tiny bit cooler, still its very good.
