Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of Dedollewaitor. Bottle # 59730. Pours a murky opaque brown with a dense beige and lacing head. Aroma is very oxidized, licorice allsorts and overripe fruit. Medium body, overripe fruit, manure and caramel. Hops are still present in the finish. Over the top for sure but still drinkable. 140310

Bottle I shared with all the great people at Stone Sourfest. Pours with a large tan head over a hazy golden body. Aroma of sherry, caramel berries, raisins, honey and biscuit. Taste is very long lasting with caramel, and biscuit malts with sherry, brandy and some oxidation. Smooth with light bubbles. This beer held up very well, way better than expected!

Rb# 4500: 50 cL bottle 45034, special vintage session at Cockneys stand in ร
rhus2008. Pours clear and golden amber with a lacing white head. Light chalky and dense fruity aroma, shows light over the top notes, yet not still inviting aroma. Flavour is smooth fruity with a mild portwine like note, yet still quite fresh fruity accents too. Minor oxidised note before the finish. Light warming finish with a nice wineous note slowly building up.

Bottle at Aarhus beerfestival: Pours clear amber with a red hew & a off white head. Super "old" (in a good way , though it is close be dominated by its mouldy/cellar feel) & matured aroma. Lots of toffee & caramel. Oak & port. Round & vinous. Sticky. I am thankfull for being one of the few lucky ones to try this!

Bottled@Akkurat, Stockholm. Deep ruby red colour, small head. Aroma is raisins, sweet malts, lots of caramel and slightly oxidized. Flavour is vanilla, plum, raisins, alcohol and bigtime caramel malts. Really nicely aged, though probably the only way from here is down...

Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm. Cloudy amber. Oxidized caramelly aroma. Sweet and full bodied with soft malt character. Caramelly with some grass and tar. A warming, malty beer. It bears the sign of age but is still good. I donโt think it will go anywhere from here though.

Bottle shared Saturday night at BCTC, 7/21/07
Nicely settled out, clear ruby-amber with thick lacing and still a lovely head. Sweet, this is promising!
Nuts, marzipan, rich caramel and wonderful sherry oxidation tones fill the nose. Maris otter has gone buckwild in both the aroma and flavor, leaving that rich honey-caramel note. The yeast has thrown out countless esters and taken with the malt and oxidation, itโs heavily fruity and a bit bready on the end. No flaws or alcohol noted.
Sweet, almost fatiguingly so! I would never have expected this to be so full bodied and well-malted at this age, thinking it would instead be more bready, dry and with more oxidation. Nope, not at all. Chewy, sugary vanilla wafers, caramel and brown sugar with cherries, strawberries and peaches. Strong sweet sherry notes and a bit of port from the darker malts. Really interesting. If my tolerance for sweetness was a bit higher, Iโm sure I would have enjoyed it more. Despite that, you still have to appreciate this 10 year old filtered beer having survived this elegantly. Low carbonation at this point, but certainly still ample. Slick, nearly creamy at times, texture.
