(750ml bottle from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours clear medium gold with a huge white head that fades slowly leaving some clumpy lace. Aroma is punchy and vibrant, lots of semi-ripe nectarine and peach, orange pulp, white wine grape, gooseberry, passionfruit, light fresh leafiness, a little leathery oak & brett. Flavour is still very hop-forward if slightly less so than the aroma. Semi-ripe peach and nectarine again, white grape, vinous and lightly citric acidity, some passionfruity florals, leafy but not heavily dank, leathery brett and a little hay, restrained oak, soft cereals, fairly dry finish with lingering pit fruit and white wine along with slightly dusty yeast and soft barrel. Light to medium bodied, mouth filling bottle conditioned carbonation.
