(473ml can from masoif.com) Pours somewhat hazy deep orange-gold with a rapidly dissipating white head and a little lace/fruit particulate - basically looks like an IPA. Aroma of sweet canned pineapple in syrup, pineapple juice, maybe a bit of sweet citrus Five Alive-type lactic juiciness in there too, white coconut flesh and a little earthy nutty overtone. Flavour is sweet and lightly tart, pineapple and mixed citrus juice up front with an acidity that's more citric than lactic, earthy nutty coconut in the middle of the sip and more creamy white coconut florals coming in towards the finish, which is semi-drying and contains lingering pineapple behind the coconut. Light-bodied for style, no real smoothie mouthfeel to this (probably the thinnest Brew Juice I've ever had, Imperial and all), moderately carbonated, a little slick, tiny bit of fruit pulp in it. Nice piña colada flavours like you'd expect, just missing the thick coconut-y mouthfeel I imagined for this beer. There are some incredible coconut-forward smoothies out there and this is not one of them, but it is a good piña colada sour all the same.
