(On tap @ La Souche Limoilou, Quebec City, Nov 15/22) Pours clear bright gold with a big white head and good lace. Aroma initially effectively a baker's yeast package and little else, truly bizarre. As it breathed, some sea buckthorn became more noticeable underneath the yeast along with a subtle funk. Flavour was a bit less yeast-forward, moderately tart with sea buckthorn leading the way, some lemon peel, softly mulchy funk, pale/pils malt core, definitely still yeasty though, finish was tart and somewhat lactic with good sea buckthorn presence, a little grainy bitterness and soft tannin. Light to medium bodied, softly carbonated. Enjoyed the flavour much more than the aroma which was not enticing at all, but definitely nicer presentations of sea buckthorn out there.
