(473ml can from the brewery webshop) Pours an opaque dull pale brownish-orange with a thick tan head of loose smoothie bubbles and heavy apple chunk residue. Aroma of cooked sweet apples with brown sugar, balanced cinnamon, soft vanilla, maybe a touch of kettle sour lacto and salt but mostly about the apple pie. Flavour is quite sweet up front, again cooked red baking apples, caramel and brown sugar, soft vanilla, moderate cinnamon, very apple pie-like, finishing mid-sweet with a twinge of lactic acid yogurt coming in but nothing like 'sour', slight salinity, baked apples in cinnamon and brown sugar long into the aftertaste. Medium-full smoothie body with nice chunky apples and soft carb. Definitely a pastry beer rather than a sour, but that's all fine and dandy because it goes down way too easily.
