(473ml can from masoif.com) Pours deep purplish-red with a thick rocky magenta head and heavy fruit pulp lace. Aroma of cassis (the liqueur) and freshly crushed black currants, raspberry with a richness reminiscent of blackcaps, rather herbal berry skins that is probably mostly blueberry, berry pips, fairly sweet with just a hint of salinity. Flavour is above moderately sweet and very lightly lactic-tart, berry-dominant as expected, cassis liqueur and black currant jam to the fore, vibe of purple grapes too, raspberries less prominent than the nose, sweetened blueberries giving an herbal edge A puckering and slightly astringent finish from cassis and blueberry and the skins giving a nice tannic drydown accentuated by berry pips. Salinity of the 'gose' limited compared to others in the series. Medium-plus body, not the thiccest nor thinnest smoothie, pulpy with just a touch of gritty berry pips. Love the cassis character in this one, which makes it stand out from the majority of purple berry smoothies. Not sour nor salty but lovely and jammy.
