Rating from 2010:
--> interessantes Bier - für meinen Geschmack aber einen Tick zu säuerlich! --> A 10 / Sü 8 / Ng 8 / Ges 8

Small swing-top bottle. Sour lemon, banana, and woody smoke aroma. Cloudy brown-yellow color with small head. Light smoke and sweet-tart lemon and banana aroma. Not a lot of smokiness but tastes nice.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Hazy orange colour with mediumsized creamy white head. Big time Bamberg smoked nose when opening the bottle. Once poured in the glass it’s nicely smoked along with some acidic wheat and caramel as well. Flavour is citrusfruits, smoked malts, mild acidic notes as well as some herbs, wood and quite zesty in the finish.

Flip top bottled (Bierzwerg, BB 07/2010)
Hazy orange color, steady creamy off-white head. Strong butterscotch-diacetyl aroma with hints of smoke, banana and grain. Medium-bodied. Flavor has banana, a bit sour/citrusy notes and lactose. Finish is smokey. Quite different than rauchweizens from Bamberg.

(swing top bottle, 33cl; Sudnummer 07-10) Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a medium-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Yeasty and fruity (citrus, lime) malty aroma with more or less discreet smoke-malty notes and a rather restrained wheat-character. Moderately sweet flavour with a tinge of acidity, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation for a Weizen. Slightly yeasty fruit-accented, shy wheaty taste with well-integrated smoke flavours; slightly sweet and sour-fruity, mildly smoke malty finish. Lacks a bit wheat-character, but is all in all well done. 12.III.10
