Bottle. A clear, brown beer with a small, beige head. Lacings. Malty, bready aroma with toffee and dried dark fruits. Sweet, malty flavor with toffee and dried fruits, as well as a fine bitterness and some notes of spices. Ful body. Slightly metallic in the very end. Toffee, dried fruits and a pleasant blend of bitterness and sweetness too. I can’t detect the vanilla in this one, and the orange peel isn’t very pronounced either. Not that it matters I think. A quite nice beer anyway. 110108

Brown with an off-white head. Weak spicy aroma dominated by anise. Swet brown sugar and caramel flavour with plenty spice - 3.0.
May 2011: Spices are still there but it’s as if they have become more subtle and more dried fruit complexity has developed. Brew your Christmas specials early!

Bottle 50 cl. Slightly hazy chestnut brown with a small creamy beige head. Fresh aroma of oranges with a discreet whiff of vanilla and yeast. Good body, very soft mouthfeel, sweet roasted malt and dried fruit with a dry and lightly hoppy finish. Very pleasant and quaffable Christmas beer that ain’t overly spiced. 091109
