50cl bottle thanks to Nikolai. Pours hazy brown with a red hue - there’s a nice generous head. The nose is a little dry and elusive, possibly a bit like dry malt. The taste is a little more open but still quite introverted, a real malt loaf flavour. The palate is medium bodied with a creamy texture and a dry-ish finish. Overall, slightly disappointing.

500ml bottle picked up at an Irma store in central Copenhagen. Deep mahogany coloured body. Just a minimal off-white layer at the surface. Modest aroma of sweet dark malts. Spicy malts, fruity hops and candy sweetness in flavour. Hidden alcohol. Unvaried (hotel room, 14.11.2010).

Bottle, thx to HenrikSoegaard. Looking quite nice in the glass, with a dark brown body, clear, and topped by a small off-white head. Dried fruits, dark malts, some alcohol, sweetness and a wee touch of spices in the aroma. LIke a typical brune, but maybe a bit boring in a way. The flavor is tad more pronounced and interesting, with raisins, some roasted malts, a touch of alcohol, sugary sweetness and a herbal bitterness. Full-bodied and slightly warming, quite sweet. Sweet finish with dried fruits and a herbal bitterness. Some roasted bitterness too. The beer is lacking something, especially on the aroma, but it’s a quite decent one. (081206)
