This 8.2% ABV DIPA builds upon the foundation of Hoot! (one of our single IPAs), featuring a generously increased dose of Citra and Riwaka hops in both the whirlpool and dry hop.
Expect an explosion of tropical aromas, including vibrant notes of passionfruit, melon, and citrus. Despite its higher ABV, Double Hoot boasts a remarkably smooth and approachable character and mouthfeel, making it a truly enjoyable drinking experience.

Panda at home, thanks to The Wingmane, 21/05/2025.
Almost clear golden orange topped with a fast escaping white head.
Nose is ripe tropicana, freshly squeezed orange, grass, old skool notes.
Taste comprises juicy citric flesh, papaya, melon, caramel, mandarin, sweet edged malts.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow juicy hop bitterness.
A pretty timid affair ... drinkable but a touch sweet and flabby and lacking any real hop dynamic.

Can from trade with Steve. Deeply hazy yellow-orange with light sparkle with large, copious nasty floaties (makes for a gross snow-globe effect), thin head with good retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is strong bright citrus and dank pine. Taste is strong dank pine over citrus. Smooth, frothy texture, medium bodied, soft carbonation and finish as taste with moderate bitterness. Good strength of aroma and taste but drinks more like a WC DIPA (as in previous reviews). This did not deliver what they said they were trying to deliver (other than citrus). And, it's just really gross to look at. Drink from the can, wear a blindfold or make sure you don't pour the last third! A rare miss for the brewer IMHO.

Panda thanks to Wingman. Near clear gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, fairly smooth and mildly dry, late fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, thin mouthfeel but a forward creamy sweetness, a bit too much so. Lychee and light pine. Mild and fairly ripe citrus and a very modest hop spice. Semi dry finish. Never really comes together this one. Like the Riwaka a lot but the rest is a tad messy.

Rocky white head on a hazy golden coloured body.
Dank, citrus & malt aroma.
Medium bodied, sharp dry & clean.
Bitter, well hopped, pine, over stewed fruit pulp & resin tastes with dank peppery finish.
Great WC DIPA.
